What do you call Japanese plain form in Japanese?
All searches I ve done give examples of plain form, without actually saying what you d call it. What is the Japanese term used to describe conversational speech style?

This form of speech is called タメ口(ためぐち), sometimes also タメ語(ためご).
'Colloquial language' has its own word, which is 俗語(ぞくご) :)

Ive heard it being called "colloquial" or "informal" or "direct" styles :)
And in Japanese I suppose you could just say ふつう(futsuu) which means ordinary... but not too sure.
