Yes, that's very nice. My advice is to be yourself first, treat their mom well, and bring your patience, understanding, and any childlike sense of wonder you may still have. Focus on making it fun rather than creating some unbreakable bond with them, and you should be fine.
Also, be mindful about your language, please, and don't take any drama that may occur personally. I obviously don't know the mom's situation but sometimes kids are bratty if they're confused about what's going on with their parents and their obvious target would be you.
