Do people still believe the earth is flat?!?

There is such a thing as the "Flat Earth Society", basically a club for people who state a belief that the Earth is flat.

Thing is... I personally suspect that they don't actually honestly believe that the Earth is flat... they are just claiming this in order to be kooky and annoy people, because they like attention.

In order to really believe that the Earth is flat, you have to basically reject humanity's entire understanding of physics, and call every astronaut and cosmonaut in history a liar.

And, you have to be really really really really really dumb.

Have you researched ANYTHING in this?

Did you know astrophysicist now claim you live on

a spinning, WOBBLING, tilted, pear shaped ball?

Going 1000 mph, then 66000 mph ...and you can buy that?

People could observe a flat earth. These same people believed that this flat Earth was created by an unobservable entity called God among other names...

I don't see any important difference between creationism and believing in a flat earth.

Some do, but even Stephen Hawking had doubts. In his book, A Brief History of Time, he says that he was part of a scientific mission to fly around the entire planet several times without stopping, on an aircraft that could be refueled during flight.

Yes. Because of insecurity. Just in case their God might get angry and so it is better to stick with the original teaching such as the earth is flat; the earth is only 6000 years old, the snake is talking.....

It is simply astounding that people actually still believe this . However , there are some uneducated dolts who follow this mindless belief. They are usually also young creationists. This type is typically "educated" in a thumpie school and have never taken a science course. Another reason thumpie schools should be banned.
