What determines how long your answer can be on Yahoo Answers?

the device you you are using, whether it is in desktop and mode, it's power memory capacity and bandwidth and whether the yahoo server computers have 'good ' internet or wireless connection with your device.. Mobile devices have lower character limits m than laptops which have lower character limits than desktops.

If you mean time long, questions stay here forever, once there is one answer.

If you mean characters long, you get this many Yahoo font characters.

Yahoo limits number of characters for questions and answers.

It will be there until Yahoo Answers closes down, which won't be very long...

There's a character limit, including blank spaces, punctuation, etc. I don't remember what it is, but I've hit it a number of times doing critique on writing samples. Possibly 1500, or 2500? Those stick in my memory.

Answers remain forever unless they are violations. Since the violation system currently does not work nothing is removed.
