I think I have a septate hymen?

Okay so I've always noticed that my vagina looked different from diagrams.

Theres like a sideways tongue looking fleshy thing sticking out from the hole of my vagina,its always been there.

from my research I suspect its a septate hymen since I really dont know what else it could be. (I know its not my labia,its in the actual hole)

I'm only 16 so I don't want to tell my mom theres something wrong with me down there and make her take me to the doctor if really thats normal or something.

So My question is is there suppose to be anything coming out of the actual hole of your vagina or should it just be a hole? also let me know if you think its something other than a septate hymen

    Can you use tampons, or comfortably fit a finger in your vagina? Then it's likely not something to worry much about, but yes, it's possible to have a septate hymen that still allows for insertion, and it's possible to have basically skin tags left over from a hymen that's stretched or tore previously, and it's possible to basically have hymen fragments rather than a smooth circle or crescent of tissue.

    If you're not in pain and it's never in the way, no real reason to see a doctor, but you can always just tell your mom to take you and not go into serious detail.
