Why would anyone enjoy reading Twains racist books?

Twain was actually very forward thinking for his time. As for using the "n" word in his books, it was how black people were referred back then. It's a harsh fact but you can't change what happened back then.

Only by reading such books do you fully realize how far we have come in the last 60 years. I grew up in the deep South and I did not think we would progress as far as we have in such a short time.

They were a product of their time and display the views of the time. Or if they were a massive racist and they nutted to racist works, they would like them too.

I would enjoy reading them in front of the though police since they are so sensitive. I want them to cry and run to their pathetic safe spaces.

They are a product of their generation. Put aside your outraged political correctness and enjoy them for what they are.
