My dog got 17 teeth extracted!?
My 5 year old shih tzu got 17 teeth extracted.. She's acting really weird, which I expected. She's been sleeping ever since we got home and won't take her pain meds but will take the squirt medicine. She's bleeding and yelping.. Is the yelping and shaking normal?

Yes it's normal. She's in a lot of pain. I took two days off when I had one extraction. Your dog had 17..... Wow. Take her pain med, and mash it up. Mix it in with about a teaspoon of water. Use a plastic syringe or plastic eye dropper and squirt it into the back of her mouth. She really does need the pain med. She's suffering right now.

She isn't suppose to take pain meds, your responsibility to make her take them.
Call your vet for advice.
