bad wire from battery to starter-solenoid, can I run a new one with a fuse? what amp? 92' Marquis.?

    The battery to starter cable can be replaced. They don't make fuses that handle that amount of current, but the cable should have a 'fuseable link' which is essentially a section of the cable designed to melt before the rest of the cable, effectively serving the same purpose as a fuse.

    Buy the same size wire and put a fusible link. Car parts store guys will help you find the fusible link that will meet the amp requirements.
