Is a 61 key electric piano good for beginners?

I'm currently thinking about purchasing the Yamaha PSRE253 61-Key Portable Keyboard. I've never played a piano before so I'm as beginner as they get haha. Thank you for your help!

There are a couple of things to take into consideration. Keyboards play differently than pianos. They have a different 'action' as we say, and use different playing techniques. If you want to play the piano specifically then it's important to ultimately get a piano, traditional or digital, so you can play it correctly as a piano. But you can learn a lot of music with a 61 note keyboard. Scales, finger exercises, rhythm, reading music, all that. It's enough for the first couple of years.
