Question about Felony Drug probation in Florida?

If Someone is on felony drug offender probation in the state of Florida. Is sharing a apartment with another person who is not on probation, also who is never been in trouble with the law. Does the probation officer have a right to look or search in the other person's room? Do they need a search warrant to search a room that does not belong to the probationer? I know when you sign up for felony probation you give YOUR rights up to be searched but not the other person correct?

This is still somewhat of a grey area in Florida. Generally they are only supposed to search his room and any other communal area of the apartment he has access to and are not supposed to go into another resident's room unless they can see something illegal in plain view from outside the room.

Sometimes they will just search the whole place anyway, in which case you'd have to sue with little to gain because you don't have damages. If you were charged with a crime based on contraband found in your room during the search (that was not in plain view), it would likely be thrown out if the search was not legal.
