Car doors wont open, locked out of my car:(?

Question

My ford mondeo 2001 wont unlock with the key, and not the trunk either. I locked the car without any problem, and can still turn the key to the right, but the key just stops when trying to unlock.

I did try to put a string between the door and roof, top reach the handle, but the door didnt open even though i managed to reach the handle??? It seems very weird i think maybe the entire lock system is broken, or perhaps the handle was not entitely open(but i think it was).

Any suggestions on what to do? The remote key was lost years ago. I was thinking of discomnecting the battery, but i dont know if that will help...

This was my dads car until i got it last year, and he have experienced the same problem, however only during winter. So this has mot happened with such weather conditions as now (4C outside), i guess the car will open when then sun is out but that might take some days

Step 1: Try the key in the passenger door.
Step 2: Try to use a stiff rod to push the power lock button, instead of trying to pull the handle.
Step 3: If neither of the above work, have a locksmith pull the lock cylinder and replace it.

Use a coat hanger to push on the electric door lock switch.

Then you don't have the right key. All vehicles with keyless entry can be overriden by the key.
