In the 80's I bought a Color Computer ll?

As soon as I Got IT, I took it apart.

It was full of rectangular intergrated circuit "Chips".

Now, it had other Chips which were square and other wise, and resistors and capacitors, on the circuit board

There was one Chip called the ROM

(read only memory)

This Chip had the DOS immpregnated into it, so that YOU could not Change the DOS, on this Chip.

DOS---Disk Operating System---it was a "Read Only"===Memory Disk, that you couldn't change

When you turned the Color Computer on---the DOS on that "Read Only" Memory Chip, would Program the Other "Chips"---to be a Computer---See?
