Why peoples from all over the world Called India as a great country.?

Because it's polite. Most people will say "great" when asked about a country by national of that country.

Even if they have never been most will say great to not offend.

There can be many reasons the difference is relative and varies person to person.

Acc to me, it is due to:

1. India is a great world civilization. Lots of ancient cities, heritage for tourists.

2. India has diverse culture. Very few countries have so many languages, festivals, food variations.Still India is united. Unity among diversity at its best.

3. India is known for tolerance and intelligentsia.

4. India has the modern technology (computers) with the age old traditions coexisting. Wonderful duality of extremes.

5. Somehow someway it still appeals to the imagination of foreigner(or the westerner) like it has been for centuries.

I have travelled the 4 corners of india ...want to see the real india? go to a railway station ...especially after 4 in afternoon ...the platforms are covered in people ..that's where they are going to stay ..all night ...they have no other place to go to ....no country can be called great when 95% of people have no running water /electricity /toilets ...most peoples ambition would be able to afford a bike!...the women work so hard ..the kids are great ...I have seen places with signs ..leave your unwanted children here ...and they send rockets into space!!!

Inspire of population and various basic issues...Due to friendly environment by various religions of India coming together...Bind all Indians to be great human being...Try festivals.here..You won't forget anyway..

India is well known for it's diversity, where all religions are treated, respected equally.

Because I live here and now Yahoo answers is great because I have joined here and you are blessed aswell... It is all because of me.
