What do I write in the professional experience section of an application for teaching: the subbing companies that I work for, or specific subbing jobs that I have had?
I am a certified teacher looking for a full-time job in Pennsylvania. We have to fill out our resume online for many employers. I am a contractor with a few substituting companies. When it asks me to list professional experiences, I list my private tutoring as well as a "tutoring" company that I work for.
(Student teaching is listed elsewhere in the application.) When I add that I have been substituting, should I just name the companies that I work for, or choose a few specific substituting jobs that I have done and list the school?

Hi E,
Hope you are well.
In answer to your question there is no definitive answer. You can write either but the one in my opinion that would look better is the subbing companies you have worked for. Ultimately, it is the subbing company you are working for and with this in mind companies what to see how long you have retained there for.
So if its 2 years put that down and list your achievements whilst working for that subbing company. For example a bullet point could be 'I proactively substituted for 42 schools around the New York Region improving subbing targets by 13%'. Ultimately, recruiters want to know why you aren't just some any subber that kills time but the subber that is wanted by every single school in the state.
