cactus v5 or my canon 600ex rt?

when i turn on my flash and connect my transceiver at the bottom of the flash ( hot shoe ) and turn it to RX which is receive mode

and another v5 on my cameras hot shoe and set it to tx which is transfer

and my flash wont pop when i click the shutter button

i've tried changing dials 1-16 thing

but still doesn't work :/

note - it suddenly works but i have no idea how it works :(

    Check the channels for the Tx and Rx unit are the same (usually small white dip switches on both units).

    Check the batteries in both receiver and transmitter units.

    Check that the camera is in manual exposure mode (it won't recognise the Cactus trigger, so won't fire it in any Auto or semi-Auto mode.
