How do I set up an indefinite integral problem - Calc I?

Find the indefinite integral and check the result by differentiation. (Use C for the constant of integration.) ∫∛(5-2x²)(-4x) dx (only the 5-2x² is under the cube root).

    Substitute:

    u = 5-2x^2

    du = -4x dx

    This gives:

    integral u^(1/3) du.

    Which you can solve with the power rule.

    if w ³ = 5 - 2 x² then - 4x dx = 3 w² dw...making the query easy to answer...try it
