Help how many rear brake lights on a Nissan micra??

We recently bought a Nissan micra, today someone told me that the rear brake lights wasn t coming in, only the central one. After a lot of messing around,I ve discovered that there are three bulbs on each side, all of which are working (lights, fog lights, reverse and obviously indicators) so am I going mad or is there on a central brake light on the micra??????
