Can my manager tell me he s going to kill me?

I can't tell you how many times a boss has told me he was going to kill me - in front of customers - and it never happened.

If the "hostile environment" is created because of race, religion, disability, you might have a case. Otherwise, suck it up or quit, cupcake.

There are no laws against:

a boss being a jerk

a boss threatening to kill you because of a perceived mistake

a boss yelling at you in front of customers

a boss not apologizing to you. (Note: a boss is NOT obligated to say sorry, so get over yourself.)

You have options though. You can quit.

terroristic threats are a crime.

maintaining a hostile work place is unlawful.

you got him by the throat.

maybe he'd like to settle this btwn you and him.

say $1000 down & $500/mo, 4 day week - 5 day pay; gold-plated health care, & pension; fast track for promotions; glowing recommendation.

EDIT : look up labor law on "hostile workplace."

call state labor board.

when your somewhat informed, [lawyers like to see that,] call labor lawyers for opinions; calls are free unless they say upfront they'r not. dont bring tht up, let them if they choose to but prob wont,

most see these calls as a chance to pitch their services.

Also, begin documenting how this has harmed you : anxiety, depression, loss of appetite/over eating, insomnia, etc;

you'v had to see shrinks, etc

Call the police.
