    Actually yes, it's not really that far away from me. I'm in Ann Arbor.

    Self driving cars, although they are autonomous (to specific programmed presets), are not self-aware and they cannot 'think' for themselves in the truest sense, and they do not have free will.

    Dude, have you not heard all those cheesey christian songs about how you can't get to heaven (or hell) 1) on rollerskates 2) in a rocking chair 3) in a limousine 4) in a motorcar 5) by digging a hole...?

    Hell isn't a 'place' you can 'go' to.

    Nah! --- Not really, however ...

    Self-driving cars will have all of the "free will" that they want

    if a competing Country or Company tosses a laser beam at the network of satellites that control them.
