Bmw 540i bad misfire after driving!?

I have a 2000 bmw 540i.. the car ran perfectly fine after I replaced valve cover gaskets.. after driving the car for a day the car had a bad misfire with engine light flashing.. I let the car sit then I reset the codes and again the car runs fine but after a day of driving I got bad misfires and flashing engine light.. please help thanks

    Did you check the connections at the coils and plugs where the misfires were indicated by the codes you erased?
