Scottie Pippen vs Kawhi Leonard?

The argument could be made that both are/were the best defender in the league over a period of their careers. Leonard has transformed himself into a better outside shooter than Pippen ever was but Pippen was more effective at driving to the rim and in my opinion was a better overall athlete than Leonard (Pippen was ridiculously gifted athletically). Both of their games suit(ed) the era they play(ed) in really well. I'd take Pippen slightly over Leonard but I'd say it's a very close comparison.

Pippen for both questions, although Kawhi has narrowed the gap, and has improved every year, so it would not surprise me if Kawhi passes him, they are both very close at this point.
