whats the difference between pension and retirment?

    Retirement meazns you stopped working because you are old and either can't, or don't need to anymore.

    Pension is a financial tool by which retirement might be possible. Pensions are gone the way of the rotary dial telephone and the VCR.

    Meaning they still work if you have one, but there are no New ones being made.

    Retirement just means you decide to stop working and go fishing. A pension is a benefits package some workers get when they retire that earns them a fixed income, usually at a lessor amount they got as salary, for the rest of their life.

    Retirement means quit working. Pension means quit working at a union job and get monthly checks for life.
