I'm 35 and have had 2 very light menstrual cycles 2 months in a row. I usually bleed extremely heavy... help...?

I started my monthly curse at age 12. I had the normal 7 day period. After I had my last baby and tubes tied at age 27, my periods went into a normal cycle of being heavy every month. As far as I know, my tubal hasn't failed me. Been sexually active last month and month prior. This month and last month I've had extremely light menstrual cycles. I took a HPT to be sure that my tubes didn't come undone, and the HPT was negative. So, I'm thinking about seeing my doctor, but I am wondering what your thoughts on this may be... I'm confused.

Perimenopause - the early stages of your hormones changing - your estrogen levels are changing. It makes your cycle different.

You're getting older and your hormones are starting to fluctuate. A light period is something to be celebrated, not worried about.
