    First, find the slope of the line

    m = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1) = (-9 - (-3)) / (1 - (-6)) = - 6 / 7

    Write equation in point-slope form

    y - y1 = m(x - x1)

    Choose either point (doesn't matter which one). Let's use the first point.

    y - (-3) = -6/7 (x - (-6))

    y + 3 = -6/7 (x + 6)

    Multiply both sides by 7

    7y + 21 = -6(x + 6)

    7y + 21 = -6x - 36

    6x + 7y = - 57

    or

    6x + 7y + 57 = 0
