Spider bite, when to go get checked out?
I woke up this morning with a large bite. I am unsure if it is a spider bite or a mosquito bite. It it red and painful, raised off my leg and is hot, not too itchy. It is a big red circle with a smaller circle in the middl. It is now getting closer to nighttime and it is throbbing and hurting more. No idea what bit me.. How long should one generally wait after an insect bite to be seen?

I might suggest your injury is a common skin abscess (boil) They are one of the most common conitions mistaken for bites. Of course, a spider gets the blame.
These rarely get so bad as to need medical care. Perhaps like a benign form of MRSA but easy to treat.
Try soaking in HOT water or towel, that will help them drain or heal. Being bacteria related, using a topical antibiotic like Neosporin helps.
One clue in these conditions is bites from insects or spiders don't hurt to touch or pressure.
Likely you would have a crushed spider in your bed if this were spider related.
In some cases, these can become so severe they need to be lanced and drained by a doctor, but very rarely, it is your call. What is profound here is these are often worse than bug or spider bites, they can be aggravating and take a while to heal.

You could have been bitten by a brown recluse. get a pen and circle at then end of the redness. If in an hour, the red goes pass the ink circle, go to the hospital.
for now, take and ice cube and directly put on the bite.
for now, look up brown recluse bites and see if it resembles it. it's pretty gruesome so look for the bites that just happen. do know that if you let it go. the infection will go up the leg and you will be in danger.
I got bit by one of those suckers before.

I would have it checked tomorrow. It can also be a MRSA infection. They tend to look like spider bites.
