Can only solutions evaporate?

all liquids evaporate if there is a gas phase present, at least until there is equilibrium between the gas and liquid phases. Clearly, some liquids have a very low vapor pressure, but there is still some formation of gas from the liquid. Even solids have vapor pressures; the occasional atom can and will get enough energy to hop into the gas phase. Not so much a question of if as how frequently.

No, just as an example liquid oxygen evaporates
