How do I make friends?

Beginning of high school I moved countries and then moved back for university, and I talk to a couple people from high school but not a lot as many of my friends weren't good people. I fell out of touch with everyone that I was friends with before I first moved and so don't talk to any of them cause we've all just completely gone different ways. I've just finished my 2nd year of university with 1 good friend to show for it but we don't see eachother muvh cause we live an hour apart my transit, as I live an hour from the university.

I've joined clubs in my interests but everyone is already really close in all the clubs and it's a lot harder to become a part of a group like that. As well as many of them are older. Everyone I work with is also about 4 years or older than me, which is fine, but I want really good friends who have the same interests as me. It's just hard because I'm more introverted and like things like reading and movies and writing over going clubbing, but most people my age prefer to go clubbing. I like going to pubs, will never say no, but again many people I know my age think that it is lame???

I just want a best friend who likes the same things as me, but how the heck do you find one when you're 19 and in University while on summer break?
