Tiger Salamander calcium/vitamin dusting?
I have read many articles about care for tiger salamanders, and in the dietary section none seem to mention calcium dusting. I know this is necessary for most insectivorous lizards, but is it not needed for these amphibians?

Most of the diet and care sheets I pulled up did recommend dusting for Tigers. I have linked 3 of them, including the Caudata site which is dedicated to Salamander care.
The only one that specifically said that they do not require it was the care sheet from Reptiles Magazine. They gave no explanation as to why but listed crickets a diet staple. Crickets have a very poor calcium to phosphorous ratio.
I could understand not supplementing if you were primarily using earthworms for their diet which have a positive calcium to phos ratio.
