There was an iteration of Brainiac that was a part of the Justice League?

I remember a animated... Thing, I can't remember much of it, but there was a child/descendant of Brainiac who actually joined the Justice League, he was like a young boy and he spoke of how he wanted to bring order to the Universe. I remember several chess games in his head against his former self as his former self talked him into returning to his old ways, and when he turned, he gave Superman a crown of kryptonite. Can anyone tell me what it's from?
