Energy = mass x the speed of light squared. Basically, it means that if you multiply an object of a specific mass (in kilograms) by the speed of light squared (3.00×108)2, you get its energy equivalence (Joules). A joule is a unit of energy that is equal to the force required to move an object one meter. In other words, the equation represents the correlation between matter and energy.
