Yes, first will come the governments turn on religions. All religions. So the world will actually be Atheism.
Which is a suprise because it has been shown only Freedom of religion, freedom from religion is the only thing that actually works. HOwever, after that only the true religion will be allowed by God. www.jw.org

Tomorrow, the daughter of my neighbour will be confirmed in the Norwegian Lutheran Church, as nearly all kids are, here. And yet, a majority of Norwegians declare to be atheists. How is that possible?
Well, we consider religion as a nice custom. We get baptised, confirmed, married and see our funerals in church. It is a place to gather. But we don't really believe that the creator of billions of galaxies, each made of billions of stars with their planets, choose to send his son to be born from a virgin, to save us by dying on a cross.
In my humble opinion, the future is for many different rituals, one for each ethnic group, under a brotherhood of man as John Lennon dreams on in his song: "Imagine." It is nice to have a spiritual life. I have one, although what I believe in will be called, superstitions by many. But yet, it makes me happy, even when I call myself an atheist, living by the teaching of great men like, Gandhi, Voltaire and Jesus.

Nope.
And atheism is no religion.
You knew that.
But atheism (reality) is inevitable, reality won't go away because a few pretend it is not real.
