Hello All, What do you think of the name Petia for a girl? I have been trying to decide between the names Zaria, Petra or Petia. I want something unique yet classy. I'm leaning more towards Petia but I'm torn. Thanks in advance :-)?

I had a really really nice Bulgarian neighbour named Petia. It's a nice name that you hardly ever hear in North America (where I live).

Petra would be much more easily recognized by others (especially if you live in North America), since it's more anglo, so I sort of prefer that one, but I do have a soft spot for Petia too. She could go by Tia for short if her full name ever causes her problems (which is doubtful since I feel that Petia's pronunciation is a bit obvious).

If you like Petia best, go ahead. It's still a legit name, and she probably won't meet another person with the same name.

Personally, I'm not a fan of Zaria, sorry. I would prefer Zara.

I like Petra, sounds ancient and interesting. It is also kind of international, since many languages have some version of this name.

Petia makes me think of a Russian male diminutive, and its not as serious sounding as Petra.

I like Zara, but Zaria is not as charming.

Zaria I like it if pronounced similar to Asharia. But it isn't very "classy" most classy names are usually popular and I dislike the other choices. But just practice calling them that. Most businesses you use your last name I thought. Might just be me then.

I love Petra. It is really unique and classy! it sounds slightly more elegant than Petia as well.

I would say Petra is the only classy name there.
