Why cannot I open a pdf file previously saved in the computer?

"Adobe reader cannot open the file because it is not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded) "....can any one suggest a solution for this problem and how to rectify it...Thanks for your help.

This is kind of a long shot but change the name of the file to something short, only lower case letters and only aphabetical characters. I have had PDF problems in the past with file names. Also be sure it ends with ".pdf".

Did you access it before? If so either your Adobe reader is not working or the file is corrupt.

are you sure it is a PDF?

what version of Adobe Reader do you have installed?

where did you save it from?
