What does wagering mean?

I have just joined a casino website. They offer you 50 free spins on a slot machine.

I did this and won £25.

Now it says I need to wager this money 60x before I can withdraw.

What on earth does this mean?

    That means you have to bet your winnings and not lose them sixty times before you can actually withdraw them. This is a sucker punch, because the odds highly favor the house. The chances you will ever see that money approach zero. The chances that you will end up owing them money from losses is excellent.
