If the inventor of the computer didn't exist would someone have invented something similar?
So imagine if whoever invented or patented the idea for the personal computer was never born or killed before he came up with the idea of the PC would we still get something similar?

most inventions would get invented any way because we get a false idea of history . Inventions almost always come about because of the work of hundreds of different researchers . What we call "inventors" are usually people who first got the new device working . NOT an individual genius who thought up every part of the invention.

No one will ever know but since it was invented, I'm sure someone would have came up with something similar

There was no single inventor. Many people were working towards a programmable calculating machine.
