problem with paypal, has anyone had this happen to you?

hi, i sell stuff on ebay, with paypal, now there is a buyer saying they didn't authorize a transaction and paypal want to take the money from my account and give to that person. it has been 6 months and I have no proof that the item was sent! i am so confused and upset, how can they believe someone else and not protect the sellers. please help, this is so unfair

Update:

USPS tracking not available anymore - I have tracking number but it has been more than 6 months.

    "saying they didn't authorize a transaction" That's your problem. Not tracking. If they've made a complaint to their credit card company then PayPal will have no choice.

    This sometimes happens when a child buys something using the parents credit card and doesn't tell them. Later the parent go though their statements and find out.

    you do have proof !! look in your paypal account under "transaction details"

    you should check your pay pal transaction , you have proof on pay pal .

    Why do you have no proof you shipped the item. You should have the order and the receipt from shipping the item.
