please help, death anxiety. what treatment is available for a dying old age patient?

hi sorry for this horrible question i would like to know what powers UK hospitals have when its near the end of life. my grandparents spent there last few months in hospital before passing i guess its a typical thing.

so say im 80 years old its coming to the end of life could i request that the knock me out to prevent suffering so that when i do die im asleep anyways so wont feel a thing? do they offer really strong pain relief? how do doctors handle this?

we all have to go at some point i know i could be hit by a bus or struck by lightening any time in my life but this question is for the situation i mentioned above.

What they can do is called life support.  The heart is monitored, lungs intubated  (for fake breathing), a feeding tube goes up the nose and down the throat to the intestines and bed rest is provided with cleaning and diaper duty.

They can keep you alive, but if it is your time to die, you'll die.

Most old people who die of natural causes succumb to viral or bacterial infections.

Painkillers are avoided, unless deemed necessary.

There are plenty of anti-anxiety medications available. There are also promising discoveries made everyday to extend life. Your worrying is doing you no good. I want to live right up to my last moment, and I want to experience that.
