Labret ball is sinking into the front of my lip and excreting pus?

I pierced my lip (please don't scathe me in the comments for it) last Sunday, and have noticed that the ball of the bar is sinking into the front of my lip?

It's also leaking whitish/slightly yellow pus.

Keep in mind that I pierced the other side of my lip as well, and it started embedding into the BACK of my lip but after a week and a half it went down and is not swollen at all now. It never leaked any kind of pus, nor bled but was just really swollen. And even when I pierced it it did not bleed at all.

But when I did the other side, it bled a lot. It's not embedding into the back of my lip like the other, but the front. I don't want to go to the the piercing shop because I did end up going there to ask if I needed a longer bar with my first piercing and they just laughed at me. So.

I'm cleaning it with saline, rinsing with saline and zero alcohol mouthwash as well as not touching it with dirty fingers. I also soak it from time to time.

There is redness on the outside of the piercing as well.

Is it infected or is this normal? If it is infected, how do you recommend I handle it? Do I wait for the swelling to go down?

I do have a 5'8 inch bar, but it's 16g and I pierced my lip with a 14g. Should I switch it out?
