How to lock an USB?

I have an USB with thousands of music which took me a lot of time and some money to have it. Some my friends have been asking me if they can borrow it and listen to some songs. So, can I lock my USB so they won't be able to copy and paste? Just open it?

Even if you copy all your songs onto a CD, DVD, or BluRay, every one of your 'friends' could copy and paste. Best solution: buy more USB portable drives and copy the music list from your master USB to the 'loan' USBs. Since you will always have the master USB, your collection stays safe.

Why would you risk lending valuable data to people that don't deserve it? They too could put the effort in but they choose not to as a mug like you will do the work for them. I have to say that usb sticks are notoriously unreliable. So if you haven't copied the data to a CD you risk losing it all in an instant. The answer is no you can't make the stick read only.

So you want to be arrested for Piracy and copyright infringements because that is basically the crime you will have committed if you're stupid enough to loan it out.

Copy for your own use OK!

Loaned out that's the infringement which can cost you Hundreds of thousands and your liberty.

Plus if your ("Friend") Copies it and ("LOANS") IT OUT YOU WILL BE AIDING & ABETTING A FELONY .

EVEN MORE HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS AND MORE TIME TO LISTEN TO MUSIC IN CHOKEY!

Open = copy. As soon as you lend it they can copy from it as much as they like!
