Does ink come from wells?

    That depends.

    If you mean the type of ink they used on a quill before the pen was invented then yes.

    The ink was kept in an inkwell, which could be glass, metal or even wooden and the quill was dipped into the ink each time before writing.

    Otherwise ink is produced in a factory from raw components, one of which is pigment for the various colours.

    Oh yeah!! There are hundreds of ink wells around the world. red ones, blue ones, purple ones, white ones, etc. Any colour you like.
