ARe forks basically just lightning rods?
Cause when I stick forks in the toaster it make sparks and when I macrowave forks they make sparks then too and I bet when you ground a welding machine to a fork it will prolly make sparks then too so why don't we all be safe and switch to plastic? Please keep an eye on your children forks are very dangerous. Be good paents for a change and protect your kids from eletricutional

A good question. I believe a scientific experiment would answer it to a degree that would satisfy your obvious curiosity and unbelievable mental capacity.
1) Stand on top of the tallest structure you can find during a lightning storm (Make sure it's a really good storm not one of those stupid ones that last a few minutes)
2) Hold fork in hand and extend upwards.
3) Wait for lightning to strike fork (This may take a while)
4) Await response from Paramedics and/or Coroner.
5) Should stage 4 not be neccessary then Post results and conclusions on YA! I for one can't wait for them.
