Zoloft making anxiety worse?
I've only been on it for only three days, but it seems to be making my anxiety worse. I was having the same problem with Lexapo, which I had been taking but it seemed to stop working in recent weeks. I'm also currently on Buspar and that seems to be helping. I don't know if I should stick it out with the Zoloft or let my doctor know it's not working.

Hi. Zoloft does increase anxiety for the first 1-2 weeks of taking it. After that it will reduce your anxiety. I went through the same thing.

sure, its possible
the key is to communicate with your doc what youre experiencing - both physical and psychological
I generally suggest its good practice to keep a diary when starting a new medication of any sort
providing everything is tolerable - stop in for a reassessment after 28 days - if things are less than tolerable go back asap
the diary will help your doc properly assess where youre at
it may be that a different medication or dosage is appropriate
