Why was the villagers of Pompeii so STUPID?
With all the advanced technologies of today, how does folks keep being dumn enough to get buried by a volcano gully-washer? It don't make no sense. I would have run away and not got toasted like they did cause I watch Foxnews who CARES about America and they gives fair and balanced news that keep volcanoes from eating people up like that. Keep your family close, CNN watchers, its what you don't know that could instantly incinerate you and bury you in volcanic ash

The whole of Pompeii was ingulfed in a Pyroclastic Cloud.
They had no time at all to run away.
It wasn't lava .
They weren't 'toasted'.
They were buried under many feet of ash that fell in a matter of seconds.
They would probably have suffocated to death ..
.. and they OBVIOUSLY wouldn't have had Foxnews or CNN in those days.
They were taken completely by surprise.

Fox Spews is 100% total propaganda. Made for total idiots to watch. As for Pompeii, they should have closed the windows.

Probably Pompeiians ran (even there were no bicycles then) too but were caught up by the faster flow of lava & congealed or petrified in their tracks. Use your sense & don't picture them in XXcentury even . You could have proved much more stupid (stupider), handicapped by being inured in modern gadgets & resultant complacence.
