Getting section 8 on SSI ?

I am on SSI but also work (not many hours tho) could I get section 8 ?

Also I have a small dog would he be able to live with me?

    Yes it is possible to be on SSI & qualify for Section 8. They will count your work & SSI income to determine eligibility.

    IF you can have the dog or not is up to the landlord you rent from. Section 8 has nothing to do with the rules of any specific property.

    you can get sec8 on ssi but as of the dog that's up to the landlord

    You can apply. Finding a place that will take a dog will be hard.
