A graphing calculator is a great aid to factoring higher degree polynomials. The "touch" of the graph to the x-axis at x=3 indicates the root is repeated an even number of times (2).

The domain of any polynomial is "all real numbers."

The domain part is easy. The function is a polynomial, and no values were explicitly excluded. The domain for any polynomial is all real numbers.
