Should I end his contract?

I am sharing a phone contract with my best friend.Anyways ever since I had a boyfriend he has totally been trying to tell me I know nothing about relationships etc. Saying to focus on myself and not him . Anyways his contract is over in Dec 2016. I am barely affording the rent and phone now with how it is. I was wondering should I cancel his side of the contract?

I tried to bring it up to him yesterday via text and he basically said I see how it you care more for your boyfriend then me. And saying since I can not afford the bills to get a diff job?
