Why is non ethanol fuel better?

Not necessarily "better" but ethanol can damage the rubber hoses and corrode the plastic and metal components found in the fuel systems of some older cars. Therefore, it's a good idea to use non-ethanol fuel in an older vehicle that has not been updated.
