Is LeBron now the best NBA Basketball player?

No way. Do some research on the defensive rules of today versus the 1990's, 1980's, and 1970's. It was much, much more difficult to get points & championships going backwards in history (that's why Jordon had a tough time in the 1980's).

Lebron is an intelligent player with a pass first mentality. In that regard, he is one of few who could adapt in those past environments, but he wouldn't be as successful. I would still take a prime MJ, Magic, Bird, Big O, Jabbar, & Olajuwon over a prime James (who's impact on games is probably equal with someone like a Russell).

Still, the fact we are mentioning Lebron in the same group is incredible. Lebron proved he belongs there with this win.

He'll never be the player Jordan was and he passed Kobe three years ago.

Lebron was already better than Kobe, he is still nowhere near Jordan.
