lady macbeth and macbeth both portray how destructive ambition and too much power can be. the superstition perpetrated by the witches obviously conveys the danger of suspicion as had macbeth not taken them on their word he would not have ended as he did. their prophesies also show a theme of fate and destiny. king duncan's ending also shows a lack of security in power. again reflected by macbeth.
