I3 6100 vs and fx 6300 for gaming?which one is better in comparison..i think i3 will be better..any suggestions?

i3-6100 vs. FX-6300:
Single-thread: 2102 vs. 1408
Multi-thread: 5491 vs. 6342
The i3 much faster at single-threaded applications. The FX is slightly faster at multi-threaded applications.
If you're playing DirectX 11 games or earlier, then go with the i3. If you're playing with DirectX 12 games then the FX is better.

im currently using fx 6300 but both are good if you value overclocking in the future then fx 6300 is for you if not then i3

i3 6100 is a dual (2) core processor running at 3.7Ghz
FX 6300 is a hex(6) core processor running at 3.5Ghz
